On Tuesday night, Karachi lit up with the celebration of Pakistan team pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shahid Afridi’s daughter, Ansha Afridi’s wedding ceremony.
Earlier this year, the couple privately solemnized their union in a nikkah ceremony.
The wedding festivities were graced by notable figures, including team skipper Babar Azam, who was seen sharing warm moments with Shaheen, a gesture captured and shared on various social media platforms. Many other prominent sports personalities were in attendance to mark the joyous occasion.
The newlyweds were honoured with a reception at the DHA Golf and Country Club, a gathering that saw the participation of many of Shaheen’s national cricket team colleagues. The couple initially united in marriage in a picturesque daytime nikkah held in Karachi on February 3rd.
This joyous occasion joins a series of recent cricket weddings, including Shadab Khan’s nikkah in January, where he kindly asked the public to extend respect and privacy to his new family. This was followed by Shan Masood’s grand nuptial celebration with Nische Khan in Peshawar later that month. Furthermore, last December witnessed Haris Rauf’s marriage to Muzna Masood Malik in a daytime ceremony held in Islamabad.
