The former PPP turned PTI central leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has stated that NAB (National accountability bureau) was a constitutional institution and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Shari should not make a ‘hue and cry’ if it takes action or makes arrests in the province.
“NAB is a constitutional institution. It has every right to take action if it sees any thing wrong. If NAB is taking any action in Punjab there is no need to be offended. If Shahbaz has not committed any corruption then a hue and cry being raised by him is uncalled for,” he said while talking to media here on Saturday.
While talking about former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal’s allegations he said that the PTI demands that the government should take notice of the charges and constitute a Judicial Commission to probe the issue.
The allegations of Mustafa Kamal were of paramount significance and it should not be overlooked, he said.
Regarding the statements of Maulana Fazlur Rehman with reference to Women Protection Bill, he said if Maulana has reservations on the bill he should parts ways with the government and his party members should leave their ministries.
