A series of catastrophic incidents brought on by extreme weather conditions, including fierce winds and heavy rain, has led to the unfortunate demise of at least seven individuals across multiple cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The cities bearing the brunt of these severe meteorological conditions include Peshawar, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, DI Khan, and Mansehra. The robust winds and torrential downpours in these locations have destroyed structural elements like walls and roofs, leading to seven fatalities and injuring 71 people.

Rescue 1122 reports reveal that three of the fatalities and 24 of the injuries occurred in Bannu due to the collapse of buildings and lightning strikes.

The Meteorological Office has warned of potential rain showers, thunderstorms, and lightning strikes in specific Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Kashmir regions today.
