Karachi: K-Electric confirmed on Thursday that due to a major fault in an extra high tension cable, power supply to several areas of Karachi remains suspended since morning.
All blocks of Federal B. Area, Gulshan-e-Iqbal 13 D, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, and several surrounding areas have been affected since early morning.
Some areas of Defence, Mehmoodabad, and Manzoor Colony are also without electricity supply.
Several areas have also complained of electrical ‘tripping’.
Spokesperson for K-Electric claimed that all complaints are being checked and efforts are being made to resolve the issues.
The spokesperson, however, added that restoration of power supply could take 10 to 12 hours.
