LOS ANGELES: Selena Gomez has spoken out following what many fans perceived as a subtle dig from Hailey Bieber, who recently shared and later deleted an Instagram post addressing comparisons between their beauty brands.
In a message shared to her Instagram Stories early Saturday, the Rare Beauty founder urged kindness and dismissed any personal impact from the situation.
“Just leave the girl alone. She can say whatever she wants—it doesn’t impact my life at all,” Gomez wrote. “It’s about relevance, not intelligence. Be kind. All brands inspire me.”
She continued, “There’s enough room for everyone. Hopefully, we can all just stop.” Gomez’s response came shortly after Hailey Bieber’s remarks about being frequently compared to the singer and entrepreneur.

“When people create an image of you in their minds, it’s not your responsibility to change that,” Bieber said. “There’s space for everyone. I don’t feel competitive with those who don’t inspire me.”
Although Hailey’s representatives later clarified that her comments were not aimed directly at Gomez, the timing of Gomez’s post suggests otherwise, especially given the pair’s complex history.
