Pakistani Security forces have eliminated 17 terrorists, including three high-value commanders of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), during extensive joint operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu division.
The coordinated actions by police, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), and security forces were launched in response to a deadly terrorist attack that occurred on Friday.
The operations targeted terrorist hideouts in multiple locations, including Sheri Khail, Pakka Pahar Khail, Nasar Khail, and Domail Tehsil. According to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed, the successful missions have significantly degraded terrorist capabilities in the region.

The joint security response began with operations in Sheri Khail and Pakka Pahar Khail following confirmed intelligence about terrorist presence. These operations resulted in 10 terrorists killed and several others injured, with one facilitator apprehended. Due to the challenging mountainous terrain, security forces recovered seven bodies, while three remained at the operation site.
Among the neutralized terrorists were two wanted commanders identified as Niaz Ali (alias Ukasha) and Abdullah (alias Shapunkoi), both featured on the most-wanted lists of police and security forces.
A separate operation in Nasar Khail resulted in the elimination of another high-priority terrorist target. Meanwhile, an intensive eight-hour operation in Domail Tehsil led to six terrorists killed and dozens injured during heavy exchanges of fire. Reports indicate that TTP commander Rasul Ghani (alias Aryana Painda Khel) was among those neutralised in this operation
