The Supreme Court (SC) resumed ‘the Karachi law and order implementation’ case after 20 months at the Karachi Registry earlier today.
A larger bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali is hearing the case. The other members include Justice Ameer Hani Muslim, Justice Faisal Arab, Justice Azmat Saeed and Justice Khilji Arif.
IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali submitted a report in the court about progress made so far in the Karachi operation.
The report stated that there has been sharp reduction in terrorism related cases as 42 such cases were reported in 2014 while only four cases were reported in 2015.
