Islamabad awaits significant investment from Riyadh. Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, spearheaded a two-day visit by a high-ranking delegation to Islamabad.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the Saudi Finance Minister at the airport. Additionally, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy and other dignitaries attended.
Following Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud’s recent affirmation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Saudi Foreign Minister is visiting. He assured that Riyadh would always support Islamabad.
The Saudi officials plan to meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, PM Shehbaz, and General Syed Asim Munir, among others.
Members of the delegation include Saudi Ministers Abdul Rahman Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadley and Bandar Ibrahim AlKhorayef, along with Deputy Minister Badr AlBadr.
During the premier’s earlier visit, Saudi Arabia committed to accelerating their $5 billion investment in Pakistan.
This visit aims to bolster bilateral ties and economic collaboration. Insiders report that Saudi Arabia might invest $1 billion in the Reko Diq project.
