The Saudi government has banned political slogans during the Hajj period, emphasizing the pilgrimage’s focus on spiritual practice rather than political expression.

Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq al-Rabiah clarified that this decision preserves the sanctity and focus of the Hajj, ensuring it remains a peaceful and reflective experience for all attendees. He reiterated that the Hajj should not be used as a platform for political statements.

In addition to these regulations, the Saudi Civil Defense has taken steps to enhance safety by banning gas cylinders at the pilgrims’ camps and other ritual sites to mitigate fire risks.

The Civil Defense will enforce this rule strictly, with penalties including confiscation and potential legal action against anyone violating this safety measure.
