Newly released U.S. court documents have brought renewed scrutiny to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, revealing previously unseen correspondence involving Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York.
The documents, disclosed by the United States Department of Justice, include an email in which Ferguson appeared to congratulate Epstein on the birth of a baby boy, an allegation that, if accurate, would suggest the existence of a child never publicly acknowledged.
According to the released files, Ferguson sent the message on September 21, 2011, stating that she had learned the news from her former husband, Prince Andrew.
In the email, Ferguson congratulated Epstein and expressed affection and goodwill, despite acknowledging that they had not been in recent contact. The wording suggested personal familiarity, which has since drawn renewed attention, given Epstein’s criminal history.
If the claim referenced in the email were factual, the child would be around 15 years old in 2026. No independent verification of this child’s existence exists in public records.

Shift in Tone in Later Messages
Subsequent messages included in the document release show a clear change in Ferguson’s tone. In a later email, she expressed emotional hurt and accused Epstein of maintaining the relationship primarily to gain access to Prince Andrew.
The contrast between the messages highlights a shift from warmth to disappointment, though the broader context of their exchanges remains unclear.
No Public Record of Epstein Having Children
Until his death in a federal jail cell in 2019, Epstein had never publicly acknowledged any children. His estate and properties reportedly passed to his then-partner, Karyna Shuliak.

Despite Epstein’s documented relationships with multiple women, no confirmed pregnancies or offspring have been publicly linked to him.
Some emails also contained language that appeared exaggerated or possibly humorous. There is no evidence confirming whether such remarks reflected serious intent or private banter.
Legal experts note that while the documents raise questions, they do not establish proof of paternity or the existence of undisclosed heirs. The revelations nonetheless add another layer to the ongoing examination of Epstein’s personal relationships and influence.
