Leak Suggests Major Upgrades for Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus

New rumours indicate the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus may receive a substantial hardware overhaul. This contrasts with earlier speculation that the S26 series would be a conservative update. A new leak indicates significant changes to display, charging, and camera technology for the Plus model.

Initial reports suggested the S26 Plus would retain a 6.7-inch screen. However, a recent leak from Tech Informer proposes a major shift. The Galaxy S26 Plus might feature a 6.9-inch display.

This would align its screen size with the flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra, marking a clear differentiation from the standard model.

The leak also suggests Qi2 wireless charging integration across the S26 series. Qi2 is a magnetic standard akin to Apple’s MagSafe. This technology would allow for seamless attachment of compatible charging accessories and stands. It represents a notable ecosystem enhancement for Samsung’s flagship line.

Furthermore, the leak hints at a camera upgrade. The non-Ultra models (S26 and S26 Plus) may receive an upgraded 12MP 3x telephoto sensor. This would replace the long-used 10MP unit and address criticism of stagnant camera hardware.

For charging, the standard Galaxy S26 is expected to support 25W charging. Conversely, the Galaxy S26 Ultra might see a bump to 60W wired charging, up from 45W. If accurate, these changes would position the Galaxy S26 Plus as a highly compelling option. It could offer a near-Ultra experience—with a large display, modern charging, and improved camera—at a more accessible price point.

In summary, this leak suggests a more aggressively updated S26 series. It suggests Samsung is responding to feedback by enhancing hardware meaningfully, particularly in the Plus variant, ahead of its expected 2026 launch.
