New leaks have revealed potential improvements to the camera and battery for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series.

According to a detailed software analysis, the standard and Plus models will feature upgraded triple rear cameras and larger batteries.

These anticipated enhancements align with Samsung’s recent teasers about major AI, performance, and camera upgrades for its 2026 flagships.

The report indicates a new triple rear camera configuration for the Galaxy S26 and S26+. The system is tipped to include a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a new 12-megapixel telephoto sensor.

This new telephoto camera would replace the 10-megapixel unit used in the Galaxy S25 series. The higher resolution is expected to deliver a noticeable improvement in image quality for zoomed-in photos.

The firmware analysis also uncovered support for Samsung’s Advanced Professional Video (APV) codec. This feature would enable high-quality 4K video recording at 60 frames per second on both the front and rear cameras.

Furthermore, both Galaxy S26 models are expected to house larger batteries than their predecessors. This upgrade would help power the more advanced components and support longer usage times.
