Samsung is gearing up to reveal the new Galaxy S series at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will showcase the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and slightly enhanced wireless charging speeds.
According to Roland Quandt of WinFuture, the new model will feature a Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, achieving a peak brightness of 2600 nits.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be available in three configurations: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. It will support 45W wired and 25W wireless charging, an upgrade from the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 15W wireless charging.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra measures 162.8×77.6×8.2mm and weighs 219 grams, making it both lighter and slimmer than its predecessor, which has dimensions of 162.3×79.0×8.6mm and a weight of 232 grams.
Upcoming Galaxy Unpacked Event Details
Samsung has scheduled its Unpacked event for January 22 in San Jose, and pre-reservations for the new Galaxy S series are underway in India. Samsung’s teaser suggests launching four Galaxy S25 models: the standard Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and a new Galaxy S25 Slim model. The official names have yet to be confirmed.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumoured to come in seven colour variants, including three online-exclusive hues. It will likely feature an advanced quad rear camera setup consisting of a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto camera, a 50-megapixel 5x telephoto camera, and an upgraded 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. The device is also expected to include a substantial 5,000mAh battery.
