Samsung is gearing up to expand its smartphone lineup by introducing the Galaxy S25 Slim, alongside the standard Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The Galaxy S25 Slim is rumoured to incorporate Samsung Semiconductor’s newly announced ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) technology. This advancement aims to reduce the thickness of the telephoto camera, addressing the common issue of bulky camera modules without sacrificing image quality. Including a periscope telephoto camera is particularly noteworthy, enhancing the device’s capability to capture sharp images from a distance.

ALoP technology redefines camera architecture by shortening the telephoto module by 22 per cent compared to traditional folded camera optics. This innovation results in a sleeker phone silhouette with minimized camera bumps and enhances aesthetic appeal by providing a circular lens appearance.

The technology utilizes a 40-degree tilted prism reflection surface and a 10-degree tilted sensor assembly, offering a brighter, more compact telephoto camera module. This setup is designed to deliver high-quality, low-noise photos, making it a significant upgrade for photography enthusiasts.

The Galaxy S25 Slim is rumoured to boast an ultra-thin profile, measuring less than 7mm thick. It is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup, including a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP5 sensor, a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN5 sensor with an ultrawide lens, and a telephoto shooter offering 3.5x optical zoom—features that set it apart from its S25 and S25+ counterparts.
Samsung is scheduled to debut the Galaxy S25 Slim at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on January 23. Following the unveiling, the company plans to open pre-orders for the new devices from January 24 to February 3, with an official sale date starting February 4
