During her San Francisco Outside Lands music festival performance, Sabrina Carpenter experienced a near miss with malfunctioning stage pyrotechnics. While singing, the pop star had to quickly evacuate the stage as the fireworks erupted unexpectedly, narrowly avoiding injury.
A video capturing the incident, shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), shows Carpenter looking back in alarm before swiftly exiting the stage amidst screams.
The viral footage prompted immediate concern from fans online. Comments ranged from worried check-ins like, “Sabrina girl, are you okay? You scared us with your screams at the show’s end,” to empathetic reactions noting, “Poor Sabrina was scarred for life with those fireworks.”
Following the event, Carpenter took to Instagram to express her gratitude towards her fans and the event team. She highlighted her performance with Kacey Musgraves, where they sang “These Boots Are Made For Walkin'” by Nancy Sinatra. Carpenter praised her team and the crowd, posting, “Headlined @outsidelands. thank you to everyone who came,” and acknowledged, “Special thank you to the angel that is @spaceykacey for coming out to sing and dance to Nancy Sinatra with me.” She concluded with heartfelt thanks to her crew: “And thank you to my whole team and crew.
