Police and fire crews were alerted shortly after 5:00 a.m. to the building on Holyrood Road in Edinburgh. Officials cited an emergency response related to structural concerns, though they have not confirmed the cause of the damage.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it dispatched three fire engines, including specialist units, to assess and secure the commercial property. Firefighters remained on site for several hours while conducting safety checks.
An SFRS spokesperson said crews were mobilised at 5:02 a.m. and worked to make the structure safe. The service confirmed that no injuries were reported during the operation.
