Robert Pattinson, widely known for his role in Twilight, is gearing up to return as the ‘Dark Knight’ in The Batman trilogy. The first film premiered in 2022, and the second is slated for release in 2026.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, Pattinson hinted at the possibility of retiring from acting after completing the trilogy. “I really might be retiring at the end of them,” he revealed. Reflecting on his career, he said, “I never thought in a million years that I’d still be doing this. I can’t believe it’s still happening.”
Robert Pattinson, now 38, has been in the industry for over a decade and emphasizes the importance of focusing on his craft. “The most important thing is to remember what your job is. It’s a discipline not to use your energy on anything else,” he explained.
Pattinson gained global fame as Edward Cullen in Twilight and has since transitioned to critically acclaimed roles in films like Good Time, The Lighthouse, and Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. He will also star in Bong Joon-ho’s upcoming sci-fi epic Mickey 17, which will be released on January 31, 2025.
If Pattinson retires, it would mark a departure at the height of his career. From his early days as a teen icon in Twilight and Harry Potter to his mature performances in award-winning films, he has established himself as one of the most versatile actors of his generation.
