On July 11, 2025, a vehicle fell into a deep ravine in the Kurram district, resulting in the tragic loss of seven lives and leaving two others injured. Additionally, a groom died in a motorcycle crash in Lower Dir on his wedding day. These tragic events occurred just a day after a deadly collision in Dera Ismail Khan.

Pakistan is currently facing significant challenges related to road safety. Recent accidents have underscored the dangers present on hazardous routes.

Authorities are urging drivers to remain vigilant, particularly on high-speed roads and rugged terrain. In Central Kurram’s Gandao area, a passenger vehicle veered off the road and fell into a deep ravine on Friday morning. Rescue teams, along with residents, quickly rushed to the scene to conduct urgent operations to recover the victims..

Emergency responders acted quickly, transporting the injured to nearby hospitals. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident. Police suspect that poor road conditions or driver error may have contributed to the incident. Efforts to gather more information continued into the afternoon.
