Rescue 1122 has declared a high alert for more rainfall in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Special teams equipped with water boats and necessary gear stand ready at Soan River and other vulnerable points.

District Emergency Officer Sibghatullah stated: “Rain emergency declared and section 144 imposed in Rawalpindi. Citizens must avoid disposing of garbage and construction debris into rain drains.” He added that staff leaves have been cancelled, with a control room monitoring Nullah Lai and local drains.
