The Rawalpindi driving license services Ramadan update confirms that all licensing centres remain fully operational during the holy month. Residents can continue to access services without disruption by presenting a valid Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC).
According to City Traffic Police Rawalpindi, the initiative has already benefited thousands of citizens. Officials reported that 67,300 people have used the facilities this month, while more than 13,500 new driving licenses have been issued.
Authorities have clarified that any Pakistani citizen can apply for a driving license by showing a valid CNIC. The application and issuance process remains open throughout Ramadan, ensuring continued public access.

Farhan Aslam, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), emphasised that services are being provided strictly on merit. He stated that treating citizens with respect and fairness remains a top priority for the department.
In addition, motorcyclists can obtain both learner permits and permanent licenses on the same day, provided they meet the required criteria. This measure aims to improve convenience and reduce waiting times.
