A case has been registered against Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh in Bengaluru over allegations of hurting religious sentiments.
According to Indian media reports, a local lawyer filed the complaint after an incident linked to the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India held in Goa.
The complainant alleged that a scene from one of Singh’s films shown during the event depicted Chowundi Devi in an inappropriate manner. The deity is widely revered in the coastal regions of Karnataka.
