Sindh Rangers personnel raided the Nine Zero and Khurshid Begum Memorial Hall located in Azizabad and confiscated 160 weapons including LMGs, SMGs, M-4, G3s, repeaters and pistols on March 11.

However, the MQM leaders categorically asserted that all weaponry is legal with valid licenses.

The Sindh Rangers said in its statement that licenses of 107 weapons were found bona fide; of them, 36 did not match their respective firearms. Furthermore, no licenses were received for the remaining 17 weapons; thus, the number of unlicensed weapons stands at 53.

The spokesman of the rangers remarked that the verification process of licenses is underway at Sindh Home Department.
