Pakistan Rangers Sindh personnel took into custody Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders Farooq Sattar, Khawaja Izharul Hassan and Arshad Vohra from Karachi Press Club (KPC).
Farooq Sattar, accompanied by Khawaja Izharul Hassan and Arshad Vohra arrived at KPC allegedly to explain MQM’s viewpoint on attack on ARY News office, Samaa Tv but Rangers personnel took the trio in their custody.
“I am also a Pakistani. I shall present my stance,” Dr Sattar told the Rangers.
He, however, wasn’t allowed to speak to the media.
The MQM leader was told that DG Rangers Maj-Gen Bilawal Akbar wanted to see him.
Khawaja Izhar, who is the Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly, was also detained by the paramilitary force.
It is so far not known that the MQM leaders were arrested or just taken into preventive detention.
