Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor recently engaged fans candidly, discussing his upcoming movies “Ramayana” and “Animal.”
On social media, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that it is the “darkest film” he has ever participated in, a testament to his character’s intense, grim perspective on life. Kapoor’s transformation for “Animal” wasn’t just emotional but also physical. He shocked fans by revealing his drastic hairstyle change for the role and his shift toward a healthier lifestyle, including quitting smoking, though indulging in more chocolates.
Kapoor further praised director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s unique cinematic vision, labelling “Animal” as the most intense work the filmmaker has tackled. Unlike Vanga’s previous works, such as “Arjun Reddy” and “Kabir Singh,” this new project explores the intricate mindset of a psychopathic murderer, a character as dark as they come. Kapoor confessed the role challenged him, pushing him to new acting frontiers due to the moral ambiguity of his character.
Upcoming Ventures: “Ramayana” and Beyond
Switching gears, Kapoor also touched upon “Ramayana,” a massive undertaking that still requires considerable preparation. While details remain under wraps, Kapoor’s anticipation is palpable. Given the epic’s scale and extensive work, he expressed hope for finalization soon. Rumours from The Indian Express suggest that the mythological drama, expected to commence production in 2024, might star Kapoor alongside Yash and Sai Pallavi in monumental roles.
Additionally, there’s the buzz around another significant collaboration: Kapoor is likely reuniting with director Anurag Basu. The duo, known for their successful projects “Barfi” and “Jagga Jasoos,” are eyeing a Kishore Kumar biopic, a concept that has been brewing for some time. Kapoor shared his plans to revisit the script shortly, teasing another potentially iconic role on the horizon.
