Former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja, is set to return as a commentator for this month’s forthcoming Pakistan and Sri Lanka Test series.
Raja, renowned for his insightful commentary, will offer expert analysis throughout the series. Raja took a hiatus as a commentator following his appointment as PCB chairman in September 2021.
However, his term was unexpectedly truncated when he and other PCB officials were removed from their roles after only a year. This resulted in the establishment a 14-member management committee chaired by Najam Sethi. Despite his dismissal, Raja remained engaged with his audience via his YouTube channel. However, he abstained from commentating during the 8th season of the PSL or Pakistan’s home series against New Zealand.
The Pakistan-Sri Lanka series is set to kick off with the first match at the Galle International Cricket Stadium on July 16. The teams will then relocate to Colombo for the second Test, scheduled at the Singhalese Sports Club from July 24 to 28.
