Renowned qawwali singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has issued a public apology through a social media video expressing remorse for his past actions. In a candid moment of reflection, he seeks forgiveness from his audience, family, and fans worldwide.

Khan’s apology stems from a video dating back months, sparking controversy and leading to a boycott by some fans. He explains the circumstances surrounding the video’s release, suggesting manipulation and fabrication by others to tarnish his reputation.

Despite acknowledging the boycott as guidance from those who love him, Khan commits to correcting his behaviour and respecting his artistic community, including fellow musicians and music directors.
