Despite government subsidies, Quetta’s utility stores have a flour scarcity, and flour prices have risen in other parts of Balochistan.
Previously, a 1-kilo bag of flour cost Rs125 in the Balochistan, 20 kilogram costs Rs 2500, whereas 50 kg costs Rs 6500. 100 kg bag costs Rs 12000.
The flour mills association blamed government inefficiency for pricing increases. As the government doesn’t provide flour, and without flour, mills will struggle.
