Railway and police officials noted that the explosion occurred near the ticket office shortly before the scheduled 9 AM departure of the Jaffar Express to Peshawar.

Provincial government spokesperson, Shahid Rind, confirmed that security forces are securing the area. An investigation has been initiated to determine the nature of the blast.

According to Rind, the Bomb Disposal Squad is collecting evidence at the scene. Emergency services in hospitals have been activated to provide medical assistance to the injured, and efforts are underway to assess the damage caused by the explosion.
