Abdul Quddus Bizenjo took oath as the new Chief Minister of Balochistan at a ceremony held here at Governor house on Saturday.
Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai administered the oath to the chief minister of the province. Meanwhile, a 14-member provincial cabinets including Tahir Mehmood, Sardar Sarfaraz Khan Domki, Nawab Changaiz Khan Marri, Mir, Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, Reht Jamali, Abdul Majid Abro, Mir Asim Kurd Gello, Amir Rind, Ghulam Dastagir Badeni, Muhammad Akbar Askani, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail,Syed Muhammad Raza, Manzoor Ahmed Kakar and Price Ahmed Ali also sworn of their ministries.
Earlier, member of the Balochistan Assembly elected Abdul Quddus Bizenjo as new chief minister of the province.
The position fell vacant after former chief minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri resigned ahead of a no-confidence motion against him.
The assembly session headed by Speaker Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani began at 11: 30 am. Speaker Balochistan made the formal announcement after Bizenjo secured 41 votes and Liaquat Agha 13.
Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) candidate Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party member Agha Liaquat contested for the top office of the province.
However, PkMAP candidate, Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal withdrew his nomination from the contesting.
Speaker Balochistan Assembly Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, opposition leader Maulana Abdul Wasay, deputy opposition leader Zamurk Khan Achakzai, parliamentarians Abdul Raheem Zairatwal, Nasrullah Zaray, Agha Liaqat, Abdul Majeed Khan Achakzai, Dr, Hamid Khan Achakzai, Arifa Siddiqa, Ruqia Hashmi,Jan Muhammad Jamali, other lawmakers, chief secretary and other official attended the oath ceremony.
Police presented saluting to new Chief Minister Mir, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo after taking oath at Governor House. (APP)
