Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf issued a sharp Qalibaf Lebanon ceasefire warning, saying the United States and Israel face consequences if attacks on Lebanon continue. He said any effort to exclude Lebanon or the broader Axis of Resistance from the recently brokered ceasefire would trigger a firm response.
In a post on X, Qalibaf cited what he described as Iran’s official position paper, arguing that the terms leave no room for denial or retreat. He framed Lebanon and Iran’s regional allies as an inseparable part of the ceasefire arrangement.
According to the statement, Lebanon and the entire Resistance Axis remain central to the ceasefire framework. Qalibaf also said Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had publicly raised the Lebanon issue during talks in Islamabad, adding that the matter could not be denied or rolled back.
He further warned that ceasefire violations would carry clear costs and invite strong responses. His message ended with a call to “extinguish the fire immediately.” Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Israeli strikes on Lebanon violate the ceasefire agreement and could make negotiations meaningless. He also said Iran would not abandon the Lebanese people.
His remarks came after Israel carried out its heaviest strikes on Lebanon since the conflict with Hezbollah began last month. The attacks reportedly killed more than 250 people on Wednesday. That escalation has added to fears that the ceasefire could weaken further if hostilities continue.

At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel remains prepared to confront Iran if necessary, despite a truce reached between the United States and Iran. The exchange of warnings underlines how fragile the current ceasefire remains. It also shows that Lebanon continues to sit at the centre of wider regional tensions involving Iran, Israel and the United States.
