The Punjab government says eligible families can now receive the Punjab Rs10,000 social security payment without needing a ration card, making the Ramadan relief process simpler for low- and middle-income households.
Officials say the initiative, guided by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aims to expand access by eliminating the requirement for a ration card. The chief minister has also stated that the funds have already been transferred to the accounts of eligible beneficiaries.
Punjab Rs10,000 Social Security Payment: How to Withdraw
To collect the Rs 10,000 cash, follow the steps shared by officials:
- Confirm eligibility and message
- Make sure you are registered under the Punjab Social Security Scheme.
- You must receive a withdrawal message from the Bank of Punjab.
- Take the required items
- Carry your original CNIC.
- Bring the mobile number registered with the scheme.
- Complete verification
- Provide your registered mobile number to the agent/bank representative.
- Show the 6-digit verification code you received to complete verification.
- Complete biometric verification (thumbprint) with the agent.
- Collect the cash
- Visit a nearby HBL Konnect, UBL Omni, or Alfa Pay agent to collect your payment.
- After verification, the cash will be handed over, and you should receive a confirmation message on your phone.
