The Punjab government has successfully launched its first-ever anti-smog gun operation in Lahore. This marks a major milestone in the province’s ongoing efforts to combat air pollution and smog.
The operation, carried out in the Kahna area, reportedly led to a 70% decrease in air pollution. This is according to official data released by the provincial authorities.
Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb shared a video of the operation on the social media platform X, describing it as a remarkable environmental achievement.

She stated that, under the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Kahna fell sharply from 666 to 170. This improvement followed the deployment of the anti-smog guns.
