Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has instructed relevant authorities to develop a detailed plan to enhance the export of pink salt.

Chief Minister Punjab, during a meeting, chaired strategies to generate revenue from this resource and explored the adoption of modern technologies for mineral extraction in Punjab.

Chief Minister Sharif mandated a ban on the export of raw pink salt and emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of mining workers. She asserted, “We will not allow our precious reserves to be undersold; for Pakistan, pink salt is a treasure.”
