PTI, PML-Q, QWP favour establishment of military courts

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, Aftab Sherpao of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) and Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) on Wednesday favoured the decision to establish military courts.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif presided over the session parliamentary committee to review recommendations of the National Action Plan Committee on Counterterrorism. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif also brief the participants of the session about the prevent law and order situation.

It has been decided to amend Terrorism Act in addition to rendering National Counter-Terrorism Authority (Nacta) operational. It was also decided to directly address the foreign forces facilitating terrorism.

Mushahid Hussain Syed expressed full support to the Prime Minister stating that it is now the time to fight terrorist entities and adding that United States also has military courts.

Director General (DG) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), DG Military Intelligence (MI) and other high official personal were also present at the session.
