Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has reportedly lost contact with 12 lawmakers, including 2 senators and 10 members of the National Assembly (MNAs).
PTI sources state that opposition leader Omar Ayub has confirmed losing contact with 7 lawmakers, while PTI chairman Barrister Gohar reported losing contact with two senators.
The unaccounted lawmakers are Zain Qureshi, Zahoor Qureshi, Aslam Ghuman, Usman Ali, Riaz Fatyana, Mukhtar Hussain, Chaudhry Ilyas, Aurangzeb Kachhi, Murad Zeeshan Khan, and Aniqa Mehdi.
The PTI Political Committee has also announced a boycott of the voting process for constitutional amendments in both houses. It plans to protest against any PTI National Assembly and Senate members who participate in the vote.

In a significant development, PTI expressed concerns that two of its senators, Zarqa Taimur and Faisal Saleem, might vote in favour of the amendments, contrary to party policy. Barrister Gohar Ali highlighted these concerns: “I think our two senators, Zarqa Taimur and Faisal Salim, are going to vote against the party policy.”
Concurrently, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar announced that he would present the draft constitutional package to the federal cabinet today for formal approval. He noted that the draft now includes proposals from JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
This announcement follows a series of meetings at Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence, which served as a hub of political activity yesterday. Key political figures, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, attended these discussions. After the meetings, officials postponed the presentation of the constitutional amendment draft until today.
