A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) delegation met with National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to discuss resignation verification.
The delegation includes Qasim Soori, Amir Dogar, Amjad Niazi, and Faheem Khan. The Speaker NA and PTI delegation will discuss PTI MNA resignations.
Amir Dogar, PTI’s Chief Whip, requested a meeting with the NA speaker.
Raja Parvez Ashraf said discussions are the only solution in a parliamentary democracy. He stated that their resignations would be verified one by one.
The NA speaker said Wednesday that the PTI delegation didn’t meet him and requested an 11:30 am meeting.
Ashraf: “Dogar told me that other PTI leaders wanted to meet me about their resignations; I told him I would meet them all separately, not in groups.”
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said Wednesday they’re willing to participate in Parliament, but the government won’t commit.
PTI leader Imran Khan responded to Bilawal Bhutto-criticism Zardari’s of him.
Bilawal invited the PTI chief to return to parliament at a gathering in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to mark the 15th anniversary of Benazir Bhutto’s death.
PTI MNAs quit en masse when Imran Khan was thrown out of government in April and have not returned.
