Pakistan-e-Tehreek (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi announced that the party would challenge the Islamabad High Court’s decision, which declared Imran Khan’s arrest by the National Accountability Bureau legal.
Qureshi held an emergency meeting with a seven-member committee to discuss strategies for the safe and early release of the party chair.

During a meeting with committee members, Qureshi described Khan’s arrest as unjustified and unacceptable, calling the Al-Qadir Trust case a political vendetta. He pledged that PTI would fight the case both politically and legally. The party also plans to hold peaceful protests nationwide, demanding the release of its chairman.
Qureshi criticized the manner of Khan’s arrest at the Islamabad High Court, despite Khan offering voluntary arrest. He urged the chief justice of the IHC to order Khan’s immediate recovery and appearance in court. PTI remains committed to its scheduled rallies and fighting for Khan’s release through political and legal means.
