PTI has decided to approach the apex court against  imposing Article 245 and calling of army to Islamabad for three months w.e.f August 01.

The PTI denounced the government move of imposing Article 245 in the capital and calling in army ahead of the party’s ‘independence march’ on August 14.

The lawyers also has handed over a petition to chief justice of Islamabad High Court against imposition  of Article 245.

As per Article 245, “The Armed Forces shall, under the directions of the Federal Government, defend Pakistan against external aggression or threat of war, and, subject to law, act in aid of civil power when called upon to do so.”

In PTI’s core committee meeting yesterday, the members stated that no democratic government resorted to such decisions as it was a clear indication of the failure of the government.
