Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced the successful completion of repair work on a repeater installed in an undersea cable, which has restored full internet connectivity nationwide.
The maintenance operation, led by the International Cable Consortium, began on the morning of October 14 and has now been fully completed, PTCL confirmed in a statement.
Following the repair, internet speed and connectivity across Pakistan have returned to normal levels. PTCL assured users that the network is operating optimally, providing improved online access for consumers throughout the country.
Earlier, PTCL had informed users about possible slowdowns or partial disruptions due to maintenance work on one of its submarine cable systems. In a statement issued Monday, the PTCL spokesperson said that the International Cable Consortium had scheduled the replacement of a faulty repeater to ensure stable connectivity and long-term performance.

The company expressed appreciation to customers for their patience during the maintenance period and reaffirmed its commitment to reliable, high-quality internet services.
