The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has lowered the registration costs for older Apple iPhone models, in response to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) announcing tax reductions on Apple smartphones.
PTA introduced a new fee structure in two categories: passport-based and CNIC-based.
- iPhone 8 registration costs:
- Passport-based: Rs38,922
- CNIC-based: Rs48,314
- iPhone 8 Plus registration costs:
- Passport-based: Rs40,951
- CNIC-based: Rs50,546
