The PSL 11 Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen were officially unveiled on Saturday during a star-studded ceremony at Niaz Stadium, marking the franchise’s formal entry into the Pakistan Super League.
The unveiling confirmed both the official name and logo of the league’s seventh franchise. The event drew strong fan interest and attracted notable personalities, underscoring the PSL’s growing reach.
FKS Group acquired the franchise for Rs 1.75 billion at a landmark auction held last month at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad. Following the purchase, the franchise was named Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen.
During the ceremony, the team also revealed its logo. The franchise later shared the design across its official social media platforms. The launch message described the Kingsmen as a new force ready to make its mark in the league.
The announcement came just a day after the franchise confirmed the signing of five players ahead of the historic PSL 11 player auction, scheduled for February 11.

Pakistan batter Saim Ayub joined the squad in the Platinum category for Rs 126 million. Meanwhile, Usman was signed in the Diamond category for Rs 46.2 million.
In addition, Maaz and Akif were brought in for Rs 35 million and Rs 19.6 million in the Emerging and Gold categories, respectively. These signings strengthened the core of the new franchise.
Australian star Marnus Labuschagne also joined Hyderabad as a direct signing. The franchise did not disclose the financial details of his contract.
Beyond player recruitment, the Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen have invested heavily in their coaching setup. The franchise appointed experienced international figures to guide the team in its debut season.
Former Pakistan red-ball head coach Jason Gillespie will serve as head coach. Grant Bradburn has joined as fielding coach, while Craig White will act as assistant coach.

Hanif Malik has taken charge as batting coach. Meanwhile, Zac Martin will oversee the squad’s strength and conditioning.
PSL 11 will mark a major shift in league structure. For the first time, the traditional player draft has been replaced with a player auction system.
The upcoming season will also be historic due to league expansion. PSL 11 will feature eight teams for the first time, increasing competition and commercial appeal.
This expansion follows the addition of Multan Sultans in Season 3, which previously raised the number of teams from five to six.
With the inclusion of Hyderabad and Sialkot, the Pakistan Super League now enters a new phase of growth. League officials see the expansion as a key step toward strengthening PSL’s global profile.
