His appointment continues ADB’s legacy of excellence and innovative leadership. The unanimous decision by the ADB Board of Governors to elect Kanda reflects widespread confidence in his ability to navigate the bank through the complexities of a rapidly evolving global economic landscape.
Kanda’s leadership will strengthen ADB’s commitment to addressing the dynamic needs of its developing member countries. As the bank enters a new phase of strategic growth, his extensive background in managing complex economic policies and hands-on experience in multilateral settings will prove critical. Under his guidance, ADB aims to address both current challenges and future opportunities.
