Lahore: President Mamnoon Hussain has termed the revival of international cricket after six years as good omen for the country.

He was talking to the players and management of Pakistan Cricket Board here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Friday. National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Punjab Minister for Sports, Education and Youth Affairs Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, PCB Chairman Shehryar Khan, Pakistan team captain Shahid Afridi and Zimbabwe skipper Elton Chigumbura were also present on the occasion.

The President congratulated the administration for organizing this mega event and appreciated the arrangements.

President Mamnoon Hussain watched first T20 match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe as a chief guest here in Gaddafi Stadium.

He shook hands with all players and teams officials one by one while the skippers, Shahid Afridi and Elton Chigumbora, introduced their teams.

National anthems of both the countries were played in a capacity packed stadium. (APP)
