The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has completed its electoral manifesto, which is set to be unveiled by chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The announcement is anticipated at a public gathering in Larkana, commemorating the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, or possibly in Karachi.
PPP’s manifesto comes as the general elections approach on February 8, following the December 24 deadline for submitting nomination papers, now under scrutiny by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
According to party sources, the PPP’s manifesto, crafted after consultations with experts, is presented in a booklet format. It outlines the achievements of the party’s previous government, including the rehabilitation of flood victims, new housing initiatives, and the expansion of various welfare programs like the Benazir Income Support Program.
The manifesto encompasses the slogan “Bilawal Ayega Rozgar Layega,” emphasizing poverty reduction, social security, power generation, employment growth, and business industry subsidies.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s nomination papers for NA-194 Larkana have been approved in a related development.
The acceptance of his nomination, confirmed without reservations by Jameel Ahmed Soomro, the political secretary of the PPP chairman, marks a significant step for the party as it gears up for the upcoming elections and the party’s readiness to contest in the elections under Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s leadership, showcasing its preparedness and commitment to its electoral goals.
