The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued key instructions to voters intending to cast postal ballots in the PP-167 Lahore by-election.
According to the commission, January 20 is the final date to submit applications for a postal ballot. Voters must submit their applications directly to the office of the relevant Returning Officer.
The commission said voters can download the prescribed postal ballot application form from the Election Commission’s official website. Applicants must complete the form in full and submit it within the given timeframe for their request to be considered valid.
The ECP clarified that voters who opt for a postal ballot will not be allowed to vote at their designated polling station on election day. This condition is meant to ensure transparency and prevent double voting.
The commission also stressed that each application must be properly verified and certified by the relevant authority. Incomplete or unverified applications will be rejected.
Voters have been advised to submit their applications well before the deadline to avoid any delays and to ensure they can exercise their right to vote without difficulty.
