GNN news also indicated that the Prime Minister had directed the establishment of separate rates for buying and selling electricity to and from solar consumers, with changes to net metering regulations and the introduction of different tariffs supposedly decided upon.
However, the Power Division has officially refuted these claims. Officials from the division clarified that these reports are unfounded and assured that the Prime Minister had not issued any directives regarding changes to net metering. They also emphasized the ongoing support for existing solar energy policies without modifying the net metering framework.
