Following an oath-taking ceremony at Karachi’s Governor House on Tuesday, the allocation of portfolios for the Sindh provincial cabinet was announced.
The Sindh cabinet, comprising Sharjeel Inam Memon, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, and Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, includes several incumbents from Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s prior term who are now assuming reshuffled responsibilities.
The portfolios for the nine ministers are as follows:
- Sharjeel Inam Memon takes charge of Transport and Mass Transit, Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics.
- Dr. Azra Pechuho oversees Health and Population Welfare.
- Nasir Hussain Shah leads Energy, Planning, and Development.
- Sardar Ali Shah manages School Education and Literacy, College Education, and Mines and Minerals Development.
- Saeed Ghani heads Local Government and Housing Town Planning, Public Health Engineering, and Rural Development.
- Jam Khan Shoro serves as Minister of Irrigation and Food.
- Ziaul Hassan Lanjar is responsible for Interior and Law, Parliamentary Affairs, and Criminal Prosecution.
- Muhammad Bakhsh Khan Mehr covers Agriculture, Supply and Prize, Sports and Youth Affairs, Inquiries, and Anti-Corruption Establishment.
- Ali Hassan Zardari oversees Prisons.
- Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah takes on Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives.
Advisers to Chief Minister Sindh have also been appointed:
- Allah Dino Khan Bhayo as Advisor for Forests and Wildlife.
- Ehsanur Rehman Mazari for Inter-Provincial Coordination.
- Syed Najmi Alam for Human Settlement, Spatial Development, Social Housing, and Livestock and Fisheries.
