Karachi: A suspected criminal was killed and 15 criminals were arrested this morning during alleged police encounters in Karachi.
Law enforcement agencies have started a crackdown against exorcists, robbers and target killers who are destroying the peace and law and order of the metropolitan city.
The alleged police encounter occurred in the Janjal Goth area near the superhighway. A terrorist was killed during the exchange of fire between the police and terrorists.
Police claimed that weapons and hand grenades were recovered from the dead terrorist.
Massive police units participated during the search operations in Garibabad and Ishaqbad areas. At least nine criminals were taken into custody during the search operations, whereas weapons and ammunition were also recovered from them.
SSP Central Chaudhry Asad has said that among the arrested criminals were various target killers.
