Peshawar: Police on Thursday late night conducted raids to arrest Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Azam Khan Swati and Shibli Sarfaraz on charges of intervening in government affairs.
The raids were conducted after issuance of non-bailable warrants for Swati and Sarfaraz for allegedly getting some of their party workers released from police custody during protest sit-in in the federal capital.
A FIR was registered against the PTI workers in Margala Police station, Islamabad.
The PTI chairman Imran Khan has condemned the raids, saying the government has resorted to “dirty tactics” against his part.
