Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Tahir ul Qadri claimed that at least one PAT worker was killed, while 6 were injured due to clashes with Punjab Police in Bhakkar.
Addressing a press conference in Model Town, Tahir ul Qadri said a caravan of 70 buses was ready to move to Lahore for participating in the Yaum-e- Shuhada on August 10, but Punjab Police forced them to return to their homes and not to lead forth. After an argument with Punjab Police, they opened fired at them.
He also alleged that , ‘police surrounded the Minhaj ul Quran Secretariat and residence and wanted to kill him and his family members.
